Scoliosis

Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a spinal disorder in which the spine curves in the shape of an S or C when viewed from the side. This condition, which usually begins in childhood and adolescence, prevents the spine from aligning properly. Although the exact cause of scoliosis is unknown, it is thought to be related to environmental, genetic or neuromuscular factors. It can range in severity from mild to severe and in some cases may progress without symptoms. However, in advanced cases, it can cause physical discomfort, back and waist pain, breathing difficulties and pressure on organs due to spinal curvature and accompanying posture disorders. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent the progression of scoliosis and improve quality of life.
